Homecoming Awards

These awards recognize alumni and friends who attain distinctive success in his or her chosen field or profession and/or perform outstanding service to Montana State. Recipients are celebrated at various events during Homecoming Weekend.

College Homecoming Awards 

Honorees are recommended by faculty and staff and are selected by the Dean of the college.

At-Large Homecoming Awards

Any college, department, campus partner, staff, or the public can nominate individuals for At-Large Homecoming Awards. Three awards will be given out during Homecoming 2024. Nominations will open in mid-March. The MSU Alumni Foundation Alumni Engagement Board will review all nominations. The individual must meet the following criteria to qualify for an At-Large Homecoming Award. 

Qualifications:

  • An MSU alumni OR a non-alum whose extraordinary service has advanced the university.
  • Made significant, lasting contributions to Montana State University.
  • Distinguished professional achievement.
  • The honoree's professional, personal, civic and philanthropic pursuits must reflect the high standards and values associated with Montana State University and the MSU Alumni Foundation. 

Required nominations materials: 

  • Nominee professional accomplishments including career and volunteer
  • Nominee contributions to Montana State (time, talent, treasure)
  • One statement of support outlining why they should be selected for a At-Large award

Nominations must be submitted by April 17, 2024 to be considered for a 2024 award.
